Commercial photo manipulation project with NYC agency
This is one of my biggest mid-term projects completed in cooperation with the marketing agency from NYC. The project contains over 800 images of different printing and scanning machines. It’s a mix of simple product photo editing and complex photo manipulation.
This is one of my biggest mid-term projects completed in cooperation with the marketing agency from NYC. The project contains over 800 images of different printing and scanning machines. It’s a mix of simple product photo editing and complex photo manipulation.
I was given clear requirements for each image with some notes and screenshots. Attention to detail is key in such kind of editing.

The goal was to make all the machines stand out in the images. My main tasks were to color correct the images, add screens and lights on each machine, add some other details such as mobile and computer screens, pay attention to people's clothes, and remove any other distractions in the images.

The most difficult part was to keep editing manipulations consistent. There were a lot of locations, and each had to have different improvements and object removals in postproduction.

At the same time, all the machines had to look similar to the proper screens in all images.
In some cases, I created an ideal background image that I used as a template. Similar to the example below. It speeded up my editing process a bit.
The branded boxes for machine packaging had been just in the development process then. So I had to do my best to show the packages in real environments, keeping the proper shadows and exposure. Mostly, it has worked pretty well.
